Dental Implants
in Bangalore —
Including the Cases Others Decline

Dental implants are permanent, natural-looking replacements for missing teeth. At Excellence Dental, Indiranagar, we specialise in single-tooth implants, multiple-tooth implants, and full-mouth implant rehabilitation for patients with reduced bone support — led by Dr. Pragya Pathak, a fellowship-trained implantologist from the USA and Portugal.

Unlike dentures or bridges, implants integrate with your jawbone, providing permanent stability and comfort. We handle complex cases — patients told they "don't have enough bone" — through advanced bone grafting and augmentation techniques.

"Aren't second chances beautiful? Why not for your teeth."

Dr. Pragya Pathak is an internationally trained and accredited Dental Implantologist and the Co-Founder of Excellence Dental. Even though she is an implantologist, her guiding principle is to save a tooth if it is salvageable — a reflection of the ethical, patient-first philosophy that defines this practice.

After completing her specialisation in Periodontology, Dr. Pragya secured her Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI), USA, and mastered advanced implant surgical and prosthetic procedures under the guidance of national and global authorities in the field.

Trained under the pioneering founders of implant dentistry from India, USA, Portugal, Italy, and across the globe, Dr. Pragya holds herself to an exceptionally high benchmark — one she is constantly challenging and raising. Her expertise spans the full spectrum from routine single-tooth implants to complex full-arch reconstructions in patients with severe bone loss.

"I believe in giving every patient a great outcome — irrespective of their clinical situation. If you've been told implants aren't possible for you, come speak to us first."

Advanced Implant Surgery —
Restorative Solutions for Every Situation

At Excellence Dental, we believe every patient deserves a great outcome — regardless of their clinical situation. We are equipped and trained in advanced surgical techniques from across the globe, enabling us to handle almost any scenario, including cases where other clinics may have said "not possible."

If you have been told you don't have enough bone for implants, or if a previous implant attempt has failed, please consult with Dr. Pragya before giving up on a permanent solution.

Sinus Lift

Augmenting bone height in the upper jaw to enable implant placement where bone is insufficient.

Ridge Expansion

Widening a narrow jawbone ridge to create adequate space for implant placement.

Osseodensification

A bone-sparing drilling technique that increases bone density and improves implant stability.

All-on-4 / All-on-6

Full-arch fixed teeth supported by four or six strategically angled implants.

Trans-Nasal Implants

Specialised implants for patients with severely resorbed upper jaws, avoiding the need for extensive bone grafting.

Pterygoid Implants

Long implants anchored in the pterygoid bone — enabling full-arch restoration in patients with severe bone loss in the posterior upper jaw.

How We Plan Your Implant

Every implant at Excellence Dental follows the same six stages. Nothing is improvised.

01

Consultation & Assessment

Clinical examination, full medical history, and a frank discussion of what you want the result to be. If your tooth can still be saved, we will tell you so.

02

3D Imaging

A CBCT scan shows bone volume, density, nerve position and sinus anatomy in three dimensions. Two-dimensional X-rays cannot show any of this reliably.

CBCT referral arranged at your consultation — we will confirm whether imaging is in-house or at a nearby centre.

03

Digital Treatment Planning

We plan the exact position, angle and depth of every implant before surgery begins, using the scan. You see the plan before you consent to it.

04

Implant Placement

Performed under local anaesthesia. Most single implants take under an hour. Complex or full-arch cases are staged over a schedule you will know in advance.

05

Healing & Osseointegration

The implant fuses with your bone over roughly 3–6 months, depending on site and bone quality. For suitable full-arch cases, a temporary fixed prosthesis is delivered on the day of surgery.

06

Final Restoration

Your permanent crown, bridge or full-arch prosthesis is fitted, matched to your natural teeth in shade, shape and bite.

The Gum Around the Implant
Decides How Long It Lasts

Most conversations about dental implants are about the implant — the brand, the bone, the surgery. Far less is said about the gum that seals around it, even though that seal is a large part of what determines whether an implant is still healthy in fifteen years.

Dr. Pragya Pathak holds an MDS in Periodontics — the speciality of the gum and the bone that supports teeth — alongside her implant training. The two are complementary rather than separate: implant surgery decides where the bone and gum will sit, and periodontics is the discipline that judges whether they will hold. Planning them together means the tissue around an implant is accounted for from the first stage of the surgery, rather than revisited later if it gives trouble.

Why implant gums are not the same as tooth gums

A natural tooth is held by a periodontal ligament — a living layer with its own blood supply that cushions the tooth and helps the body fight infection at the margin. An implant has no ligament. It sits directly against bone, and the fibres in the gum around it run parallel to the surface rather than anchoring into it.

The practical consequence is that the tissue around an implant is less defended than the tissue around a tooth. When inflammation starts there, it tends to progress more readily — which is why the quality, thickness and stability of that tissue matters more, not less, than it does around a natural tooth.

The step that often gets skipped

Managing that tissue properly — assessing whether there is enough firm, attached gum around the implant site, and grafting it where there is not — adds time to treatment and a step to the conversation. It is genuinely easier to leave out, and an implant placed without it can still look entirely successful on the day the crown goes on.

The difference shows up later. We would rather have the longer conversation now. If you are comparing clinics, it is a fair question to ask any of them: how will you manage the gum around my implant, and what happens if there is not enough of it?

What We Actually Use

Implant components and grafting materials vary enormously in quality, documentation and long-term track record, and the difference is invisible to the patient. We think you should know what is going in.

Implant Systems

Nobel Biocare · Straumann · Osstem

Established systems with long published clinical records and globally available components. That last point matters more than it sounds: if you move city or country years from now, another clinician can identify your implant and source the parts. An unbranded or discontinued system can leave a patient stranded with a restoration nobody can service.

Grafting Materials

Geistlich Bio-Oss® · Bio-Gide®

Where bone needs rebuilding before or during implant placement, we use Geistlich Bio-Oss granules with Bio-Gide collagen membranes — among the most extensively documented regenerative materials in implant dentistry, used in sinus lifts, ridge augmentation and socket grafting.

Implant Solutions for Every Situation

Whether you are missing one tooth or all of them, we have a proven, permanent solution — tailored to your anatomy and goals.

Single Tooth Replacement

The Gold Standard for One Missing Tooth

Book Consultation

"A dental implant is the closest thing to a natural tooth that modern dentistry can offer."

When you lose a single tooth, a dental implant replaces both the root and the crown — not just the visible part. The implant (a small titanium post) is placed into the jawbone, where it fuses with the bone over a few weeks in a process called osseointegration. Once stable, a custom-crafted crown is placed on top, indistinguishable from your natural teeth in appearance and function.

Unlike a traditional bridge, a single implant does not require grinding down the healthy teeth on either side. It stands entirely on its own — preserving your natural tooth structure and the integrity of your jawbone.

Key Benefits

  • Looks, feels, and functions exactly like a natural tooth
  • Preserves adjacent healthy teeth — no grinding required
  • Prevents jawbone loss at the site of the missing tooth
  • Easy to clean — brush and floss as normal
  • Long-term solution with predictable, documented outcomes

Implant-Supported Bridge

Bridging the Gap — Permanently

Book Consultation

"When multiple adjacent teeth are missing, an implant-supported bridge is the most reliable, long-term solution."

An implant-supported bridge works on the same principle as a traditional dental bridge — but instead of resting on ground-down natural teeth, it is anchored to dental implants placed in the jawbone. This means your healthy neighbouring teeth are left completely untouched.

Two or more implants are placed at strategic positions, and a custom bridge spanning the gap is secured on top. The result is a stable, permanent restoration that looks natural, chews comfortably, and preserves the bone beneath.

Key Benefits

  • Replaces multiple missing teeth without touching healthy neighbours
  • Permanently fixed — no removal, no adhesives
  • Prevents bone resorption beneath the missing teeth
  • Natural aesthetics — custom-matched to your existing teeth
  • More stable and comfortable than a removable partial denture

Full-Mouth Implant-Supported Teeth

All-on-4 / All-on-6 — A Complete Smile in a Day

Book Consultation

"For patients who have lost all or most of their teeth, All-on-4 and All-on-6 implants offer a life-changing, permanent solution — with a temporary set of teeth delivered on the day of surgery."

Rather than living with the discomfort and instability of loose, removable dentures, All-on-4 and All-on-6 protocols use just four or six strategically placed implants to support a full arch of fixed, permanent teeth. These are not removable — they are screwed in and function like natural teeth.

A temporary prosthesis can be delivered on the same day as implant placement, meaning you leave the clinic with teeth. This is later replaced with a final, high-quality permanent restoration. The result is a complete smile that allows you to eat, speak, and laugh with full confidence.

Key Benefits

  • Permanent, fixed teeth — not removable dentures
  • Temporary teeth delivered on the day of surgery
  • Chew and function like natural teeth
  • Replaces a complete set of teeth in either or both jaws
  • Fewer implants needed compared to individual tooth replacement
  • Significantly improves quality of life and self-confidence

What Dental Implants
Cost in Bangalore

Implant treatment is quoted per case, because no two cases are alike. A detailed estimate is provided at your consultation, before anything begins.

What moves the number:

  • Number of implants — one tooth, several, or a full arch
  • Bone condition — whether grafting, sinus lift or ridge expansion is needed
  • Implant system — we use established, internationally documented systems only
  • Type of final restoration — single crown, bridge, or full-arch prosthesis
  • Complexity — previously failed implants and severe resorption require more planning and surgical time

Indicative ranges will be added here shortly — in the same tiered format used on our single-tooth implant page. Transparent pricing is our standard.
